I have my domain name registered with Cloudflare but I want to remove my site and start a fresh. I don’t want to change my domain registrar. I just want to clear the entire site and start a fresh. Need to know if i do remove a site will it cancel Cloudflare as my registrar. I am not trying to cancel my domain registration just the website and all the setting to start a fresh. Does Remove a site Cancel my registration with Cloudflare for that domain name.
One issue you’ll face in removing & re-adding is ending up with incorrect DNS records and that can be painful to work around.
What issue are you facing that is causing you to want to remove & restart? We can probably fix that here pretty quickly. Can you share the name of the domain?
This is the error i am getting when i try to go to the website:
Unsupported protocol
The client and server don’t support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.
The problem is that I think with this site I once had a Cloudflare certificate on it at another hosting. But I don’t mind deleting the site and starting again so if it has new dins that would not matter I only need to get it to resolve at the current hosting. I am setting it up like a new site. so it will not matter. My question is will remove a site. Delete Cloudflare as my registrar for this site.
Thanks a million that worked! You are very helpful. One question for you how did you know how to solve this problem. Is there a tool you use or you just knew the error.
That told me there was an issue with ssl/tls. From there, I noticed ssl was set to Full (strict) which is the best setting for security, but I noticed universal ssl was disabled & there was no edge certificate issued meaning the Full (strict) setting would not work properly.
And I am delighted to help. Stop by again if questions come up.
And, btw @RealOG when looking at this yesterday when I thought it was a 526 error, I noticed the certificate on your origin server expires May 3. If that expires the Full (Strict) setting will cause your site to fail.
