Removal of domain association

I am trying to utilise my hosting company’s CloudFlare integration (Kinsta). When I set this up and repoint my domain’s A records to the relevant IP address, visiting the site through a browser reports a CloudFlare 1000 error.

I can see using dig that there are two records at CloudFlare relating to my domain. I have asked support to remove these. Automated response comes back that I am not the CloudFlare account owner for this domain. After replying that this must be associated with whoever (previous host) set this up at CloudFlare, they reply to ask this question in the community.

I see similar questions in the community where the guidance is to contact support.

How do I get these records removed by/at CloudFlare so that I can use my hosting company’s integration?
