I expected better than canned responses that clearly didn’t even look at the issue from registrar support. It says the account is blocked from registering domains, and gives no other info. Brand new account. No reason to be blocked, etc. And support just responds with a link to “how to register” and other useless responses. I was excited about CF Registrar but this is making me want to go elsewhere and stop recommending.
Domain registration unavailable. Your account has been blocked from performing this action
What is the issue you’re encountering
Can’t register a domain. Support useless.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
Attempted to purchase a domain and it initially gave me a generic error. Reached out to support and they gave me a canned response that included a link to “how to register domains”, which is utterly useless. Now, the register domains page simply says “Domain registration unavailable. Your account has been blocked from performing this action”. Contacted support again and they sent me the same canned response. This is not support in any way. Literally useless. Godaddy does better.
Registrar issues requre a Registrar ticket with Support
no ticket number present on support response - useless
In what area can we help you?
New registration
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Go to the register domains page
Be unable to do anything
Ask support for help
Nobody reads your message. Receive useless canned responses
Post on community forums because you’re super frustrated
Hope beyond hope that someone sees it that can help
Sob uncontrollably and throw laptop out window
Explain to client that your recommendation to use CF Registrar was obviously misguided and tell them to go register the domain on GoDaddy instead
We tried both ways.Via this account which has access to the client’s account, and directly via the client’s account.
When trying to do it via this account, I got a generic error on the payment page (did not say 10000). I forget what it said exactly. I created a support ticket for that but did not receive a useful response there either.
Then I had the client try directly, and they received the “Domain registration unavailable. Your account has been blocked from performing this action” error on their Register Domains page. Again, submitted a support ticket and got the same useless, canned response.
If you have resolved an error that would be stopping the client from registering domains, I can have them try again…
