Registrar shows a different Cloudflare nameserver

Hi all,

We are trying to activate our domain on Cloudflare which led us to ‘updating nameservers’, but when viewing our existing nameservers, it was already cloudflare? But it’s different from the nameservers we see on our account. Is it possible that there might be an old cloudflare account still associated with our domain?

There is also the “If you are onboarding an existing domain to Cloudflare, make sure DNSSEC is disabled at your registrar” and the note that this needs to be done at least 24 hours before the nameserver update. What happens if we don’t wait 24 hours?

I appreciate any advice or recommendations you can offer to resolve this.

Thank you for your time and help!

Yes.

You may want to try to access the previous account, see here…

But if none of that works, you’ll need to use the new account and take control of the DNS by setting the nameservers to those you have been given.

Your domain may not resolve (due to the updated DNSSEC signatures not having propagated) for a number of your potential site visitors.

Hi @robert11, I can see right now one domain added to your account with the status as Active. Can you please confirm if you are still having issues? If so, can you please indicate which is the domain you are having issues with? Thanks!
