redirects to without a clear reason

Hi all, There is no CNAME record or redirect rule or page rule. This is actually the correct behavior, but unclear how it happens.

Is it possible that there is actually a page rule and as part of deprecation of page rules it is not displayed?

There http → https redirect
And then redirects to
Here is curl:

curl -I
HTTP/2 308
date: Thu, 23 May 2024 21:55:27 GMT
content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8
alt-svc: h3=":443"; ma=86400
cache-control: public, max-age=0, must-revalidate
strict-transport-security: max-age=31536000
cf-cache-status: DYNAMIC
report-to: {"endpoints":[{"url":"https:\/\/\/report\/v4?s=lFgQ2T6OwdSJ73DQMKML2UuCQNEoTzBPEQW0mejxqx9wNqAYm%2BJ4c5CbVUwKVAKbqqa4NRsjNOkehouMI8%2FVoIPUOgM0K6trJoFWNtCkl7tmNbfwJY6IXIXPxRoCeQ%3D%3D"}],"group":"cf-nel","max_age":604800}
nel: {"success_fraction":0,"report_to":"cf-nel","max_age":604800}
server: cloudflare
cf-ray: 88884a50cdcc32be-SMF

Can anyone provide an explanation?

Check for redirect rules here… (scroll down to check inside Bulk Redirects as well, people often miss that)

Hi sjr,
I checked page rules, redirect rules and bulk redirects. I also, verified with our web app developers that they don’ t redirect. I’m not sure what else can cause a redirect.

Set the DNS record to “DNS only” (or pause Cloudflare), wait for 10 minutes so the DNS updates to point directly at your server and bypasses Cloudflare. Then see if the redirect still happens. That will tell you if the redirect is on Cloudflare or your server.

If it still appears to be on Cloudflare, make sure you check the bulk redirects as often people do find them hiding in there (seemingly set by some host or service that they gave permission to configure their account).

That’s a good idea!
