I have a question about redirecting a site to my WhatsApp link. I bought a domain through Google Domains, but I haven’t yet connected it to a host. I have linked the domain to Cloudflare by updating the DNS.
I’m wondering if I should connect Cloudflare to a host and then use the domain redirect tool in the host’s Cpanel settings to redirect the domain to WhatsApp. Or, can I do this from within Cloudflare without having to buy a host?
You do not need a host if you only want to redirect. The first link will explain that you can create a proxied AAAA record using the discard prefix 100:: and the second link has example redirect rules.
