Redirection with DNS?

Hello,
I’m kind of desesperated due to my changes making my websites down… In fact, I’ve two domains name that redirect to the same website (hosted with the .fr extension) but I can’t make them to work correctly, when I added the nameservers of Cloudflare on the host of the .fr, it breaks evertyhing and I’ve got multiples errrors when going to my website (too many redirects, typo issue and so on). Could you help me configure it ? I guess it’s DNS related since it’s the only thing that change since I changed nameservers (i had to change it cause i’m changing host. Maybe I should put the nameservers of my new host ? (but I though I had to put the Cloudflare nameservers in fact). Can you help ?

My website is legrenierludique.fr
Thanks you very much

Greetings,

Thank you for asking.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with redirections for your domain name while using Cloudflare.

I can see some of the redirection is caused from WordPress:

x-redirect-by: WordPress
x-powered-by: PHP/8.1

Before moving to Cloudflare, was your Website working over HTTPS connection?

May I ask what SSL option have you got selected under the SSL/TLS tab at Cloudflare dashboard for your domain ( Flexible, Full, Full Strict … )?
→ should be set to Full (Strict) SSL

You could determine this by:

  1. Use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .
  2. The link is in the lower right corner of that page.
  3. Give it five minutes to take effect, then make sure site is working as expected with HTTPS without any error
  4. If there is no SSL, check with your hosting provider / cPanel AutoSSL / Let’s Encrypt / ACME / Certbot and renew it
  5. Only then, when your website responds over HTTPS, you should un-pause Cloudflare and double-check your SSL/TLS setting to make sure it’s Full (Strict).

Here is a way to re-check if you correctly setup the SSL for your domain with Cloudflare:

In case you do not have an SSL certificate, you can use Cloudflare SSL, if so, kindly make sure you follow the instructions as follows on the below article to setup an SSL certificate using Cloudflare Origin CA Certificate:

Last but not least, kindly have a look here for more information regarding SSL settings at the SSL/TLS tab on Cloudflare dashboard:
