Redirect www to root times out in safari

Using the template redirect rule - Redirect from WWW to Root. The domain can not be resolved in safair and times out, see cloudflare error page

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Added a redirect from http to https single redirect rule with first priority, which appears to work. Is this the correct workaround?

At the moment it’s not happening as I added the http to https redirect, prior to that it was simply using www. to try and access

I turned off the http to https redirect to get this

The www to root example only redirects HTTPS, not HTTP.

Nope not at all, I enabled it again as it seemed to work. Just wondering if this is the correct way

There are other ways, but there’s also nothing wrong with this way.
It’s generally considered best practice to first redirect from http to https and then do any other redirects.

Awesome, thank you! I set the HTTP-to-HTTPS rule as the first priority, with the WWW-to-root rule following. Looks like it’s sorted now. Appreciate the quick feedback
