I have a domain chicagona.org that when I choose “Full” on the SSL/TLS the main site works fine but the subdomain store.chicagona.org redirects to the main site. When I choose “Flexible” the main site gets a redirect loop and the subdomain works fine. Any ideas?

I suggest you use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com. The link is in the lower right corner of that page. Give it five minutes to take effect, then make sure sites are working as expected with HTTPS. Only then should you un-pause Cloudflare and double-check your SSL/TLS setting to make sure it’s Full (Strict).
Still not working after pausing the website.
The subdomain is on a different server and ip than the main site also.
That takes Cloudflare out of the equation, except for the DNS record. And the DNS record should be easy to verify with your host.
