Redirect Issue For website

Dear Cloudflare Support,

I am experiencing a redirect issue with my website, specifically with the domain and subdomain handling. While the redirect is working correctly for the www prefix domain but it is not functioning as intended for the domain without the www at the start (without the www prefix).

I have tried setting up page rules, redirect rules, and transform rules for the URL redirect. I recently disabled the page rule, which resolved the initial problem of landing on the GoDaddy page, but now I encounter a “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error when trying to access my website without the www prefix.

I have checked my DNS records and Cloudflare settings to ensure they are correctly configured. I have also flushed my local DNS cache and cleared my browser cache to eliminate any potential caching issues.

Could you please help me identify and resolve the issue causing the redirect to work only for www prefix and not the name of the site itself ? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Do you actually have any A or AAAA records for the apex domain (e.g. where “Name” column shows the domain without www)?

If not, you would need to add one like this:

Type: AAAA
Name: @, or example.com
IPv6 address: 100::
Proxy status: :orange: Proxied:
