Redirect domain to subdomain

Hello!

I’m new to Clouldflare and DNS Records, I’ve been reading a lot lately, but now I’m stuck with the following problem:

I try to register a subdomain with a Cargo site and have my main domain redirect to that subdomain.

So mysubdomain.mydomain.com should point to my Cargo site and
mydomain.com redirect to mysubdomain.mydomain.com.

To do this, Cargo needs a CNAME record, which I’ve added and works fine, but only with proxy disabled. With proxy enabled, it does’t work.

My DNS Records are

The redirect rule I’ve added is:

mydomain.com/*
Forwarding URL (Status Code: 301 - Permanent Redirect, Url:
https://mysubdomain.mydomain.com/$1)

From the tests I’ve done it goes straight to that dummy IP address and igonores the redirect rule.

Any ideea how should I fix it?

Thank you!

Hi @cpatenta,

That redirect should work! Your DNS record is :orange: and the page rule looks OK.

Can you share the domain so we can check on it?

Hi @domjh,

I think it has something to do with dns caching.
I tried flushing browser’s dns cache, windows dns cache but I forgot about router’s dns cache.

I flushed them all now and it worked.

Thank you for your answer!
