I’ve forgotten what steps I need to take to make actor.heathallyn.com redirect to Actor – Heath Allyn. I’m apparently not setting up the rule just right or something. So I also need to add a DNS record?
Based on the setup at my old host, I have A name records set up for the subdomain pointing to the IP of my host. I’m guessing I’m just messing up something in the page rules to redirect.
Well even though this was NOT how I had it setup at my old registrar, my web host helped me sort it out.
I created an A record for actor.heathallyn.com, then in my webhost cpanel, I added that domain, and created a redirect in cpanel as well. This method seems to have worked.
For the redirect in Cloudflare, the field should be “Hostname” instead of “URI” (the format is show in the example below the value box for the selected field) and the redirect URL should be https://heathallyn.com/actor
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I’ve been going nuts. It’s always something stupid I overlooked. I have just enough knowledge to be a danger to myself.
