Hi Cloudflare Community,

I’m encountering an issue with my domain on the Free plan where I’m unable to add more DNS records. I successfully added around 200 DNS records without any issues. However, when I attempted to add additional records, I received the following error:

{“code”:81045,“message”:“Record quota exceeded.”}

From my understanding, the Free plan allows up to 1,000 DNS records per domain, so I’m puzzled as to why this error is occurring well below this limit. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can provide insights into whether there might be an account-level limitation or another cause?

I’d appreciate any feedback or suggestions on how to resolve this.

This has changed. Free zones added from 1 September are now limited to 200 DNS records.

what plan should i buy to solve this?

Any. Pro and Business plans have a cap of 3,500 instead. Pro will obviously be the cheapest.
