What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Log in and go to the DNS Dashboard on CF. Or refresh the browser on the DNS dashboard.

When I log in to CF and go to my DNS dashboard, I get the following:

Recommended steps to complete zone set-up:

  • Add an A, AAAA, or CNAME record for www so that MYDOMAIN will resolve.
  • Add an A, AAAA, or CNAME record for your root domain so that MYDOMAIN will resolve.
  • Add an MX record for your root domain so that mail can reach @MYDOMAIN addresses or set up restrictive SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records to prevent email spoofing

I have replaced my domain with MYDOMAIN as the forum will not let me post with actual links to my domain.

If I click on any side item (like email) and then return to the DNS dashboard, the message is gone. But if I ever refresh or logout the message returns to the DNS homepage.

Is this a bug in the DNS dashboard?

My website is hosted on netifly and I have two cloudflare tunnels into my home servers. I have also secured my email and do not use email (as confirmed when I look i n the email area). I use Cloudflare for the tunnels and for DNS.

Hello !

Are you still seeing the similar issue ? By reviewing the dashboard, I am able to see DNS records are configured. Can you provide a screenshot that is displaying ?

Thank you !!

Thanks for coming back to me - I appreciate it!

Please see attached.

It still shows up. When I click into another area (like email) it goes away when I come back to DNS. But if I log out or refresh, the suggestions come back.

Same here. Sure, you can hide it, but it’s still there, nagging at you, even when everything is configured correctly.

 Annoying if you are a “perfectionist” or have minor OCD.
