Please advise.
When I tried to add DNS records instructed on Hubspot onto Cloudflare, I would get error message from hubspot saying that could not connect.
Please help.

Without knowing the domain and the hostname that you are having difficulty with, it is not possible to provide a definitive answer.
The symptom you describe is often caused by leaving records set to 
proxied when they need to be 
DNS Only.
You might start by checking that setting in your Cloudflare dashboard DNS app. If you would like Community members to offer feedback, please provide the domain name and any specific records that you are having difficulty with.
