What is the issue or error you’re encountering

When using rclone tree (e.g., rclone tree r2:), an empty directory is returned with 0 directories and 0 files. Specifying an existing bucket with rclone tree r2:name-of-bucket returns an error Failed to tree: directory not found

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’ve tested this on two machines on Linux and Windows on a home and mobile network, but the issue persists.

Screenshot of the error

I resolved the issue by setting endpoint in rclone.conf to the default endpoint instead of the European Union endpoint, which I was originally using:

Works:

endpoint=https://<account-id>.r2.cloudflarestorage.com

Does not work:

endpoint=https://<account-id>.eu.r2.cloudflarestorage.com
