Rate Limiting Rule (Previous Version) does not really block the IP access?

Hi there,

im trying to figure out why my Rate limiting access does not work for some IP.

Here is my rule: Screen Shot 2024-05-28 at 15.26.26.png - Droplr
By example, this IP (85.13.161.42) is supposed to be blocked as shown in this screenshot Screen Shot 2024-05-28 at 15.28.30.png - Droplr

but the IP still shows in my access log: Screen Shot 2024-05-28 at 15.30.03.png - Droplr
85.13.161.42 - - [28/May/2024:19:25:03 +0000] “POST /wp-json/wp/v2/sonaar-api/version-check/ HTTP/1.0” 200 845 “-” “WordPress/6.5.3; https://sisu-online.de

I don’t understand why.

Can someone advise me ?

Thank you for your time,

Max

If you want to block the IP maybe consider the IP Access rules:

Hope this helps.
