Railgun Centos 8 issues

Hello everyone.

I’ve been trying to get Railgun to work on Centos 8 for a while now.

These are the steps I’ve had to use, in order to install Railgun on Centos 8.3
Does anyone have any idea what I’m doing wrong or how I can fix this?

curl -svO http://pkg.cloudflare.com/pool/el7/main/r/railgun-stable-5.3.3-1.el7.src.rpm/railgun-stable-5.3.3-1.el7.x86_64.rpm

sudo yum install -y memcached
sudo rpm -Uvh railgun-stable-5.3.3-1.el7.x86_64.rpm

From time to time, I think it works, but then it turns out it does not.

This is the current situation.
I do have 1.4G of space on /var/tmp if that is enough.
And what else “corruption” is going on, I do not know.

I have to use the socket, the other local IP, is refused.

#memcached.servers = 127.0.0.1:11211
memcached.servers = /tmp/memcached.sock

I’m pretty sure @eva2000 uses Railgun on CentOS, but he’s in a very different time zone and might not see this message for a bit.

For some reason, the repo for Centos 8 is missing from CloudFlare also.

Doing
sudo rpm -ivh http://pkg.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-release-latest.el8.rpm
Does not work.

Yeah I am only using CentOS 7 with CF Railgun. Unfortunately, CentOS 8 doesn’t have Railgun RPM

I tried it on Centos 7 now also, now it says both is running, but cloudflare does not.

How did you manage to get it to work on centos 7?
I just don’t get it to work.
It is set up on my VPS.
But Cloudflare still says it’s not there.

Did you whitelist CF ips and ports in your firewall on origin server and/or cloud VPS firewall if applicable as per Installation — Railgun 5.3.3 documentation

Also CF railgun test button sometimes isn’t accurate. See how to test if Railgun is working at https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200168406-How-can-I-tell-if-Railgun-is-running-on-my-site-

I did, but something else was a problem.
But got it resolved
Thanks for trying

Don’t leave us hanging…what was it? Someone else might come along with the same problem.
