This is exactly how email routing / email forwarding services work.
They receive them, and (try to) pass them on to another mailbox.
That won’t be possible on the exact same (sub-)domain, -
However, you can make “mail.example.com
” handle the traffic for a sub-domain instead, such as e.g. how I mentioned in the following posts:
