Caching/reverse proxy/acceleration
and a gazillion other tools…
… most of which for free…
… which makes me realise that if one day Cloudflare is bought by Big Corp (I mean, bigger than Cloudflare) just to be dismantled (like, say, Oracle has done with Sun, is doing with Dyn, and is probably going to do with MySQL as well…), I wonder how I would be able to get all the same functionality that Cloudflare provides today…
Bot protection could be my go-to but because of how terrible it is for non-enterprise customers, it’s impossible for me to vote for it (For sure, it’s cool to know an estimation of how much bot traffic we receive but then what? It’s too restrictive for general use ).
CDN and HTTP DDoS protection are my favorite features as of now.
second the Distributed Database KV which is a very important pice to store and deliver data
but becouse it underdelivers when it comes to syncing and serving content fast enogh, aka cold keys
data serving need more than 500ms which is a joke for a db i want to replace it with something much faster and better in the near feature.
For me, it’s the DNS. It’s extremely powerfull and the free version (even with the 1000 DNS record limit) compares with many paid one (ie. Google Cloud DNS and AWS Route 53).
Universal SSL is great, but Custom SSL fuction should be a thing for everyone…
