Question about DNS record removal during email service provider migration

What is the name of the domain?

fromanxietytolove.com

What is the error number?

not applicable

What is the error message?

“Once you select authorize, Cloudflare will remove the following DNS records from your zone, which may result in downtime. This process is necessary to avoid conflicts with the records needed for Entri.”

What is the issue you’re encountering

I’m beginning to transition to a new email service provider (Flodesk). When I follow Flodesk’s prompts to authenticate my domain, I am redirected to Cloudflare. I then get a message about removing a DNS record (Please see PINK BOX in ATTACHED SCREENSHOT). Do you know if the removal of this pre-existing DNS record “from my zone” will impact the deliverability of my older email service provider (Active Campaign)? While I migrate to Flodesk, I anticipate running both systems until the migration is complete. Therefore, I want both email systems to have superior deliverability. Thanks in advance!

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Cloudflare’s AI chatbot indicates that I shouldn’t delete the pre-existing DNS record because it could impact Active Campaign, but I wanted to confirm this with a human, as Flowdesk support said that “The DMARC record isn’t platform specific, so moving forward with the Entri process shouldn’t have an impact on Active Campaign.”

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

I don’t know

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

n/a

Screenshot of the error

The _dmarc record being removed is the same as the one that’s replacing it other than the ending semi-colon on the old one and quotes around the new one which make no difference. Cloudflare now requires the quotes to be included when creating a TXT record so this corrects a legacy entry anyway.
