Proxy's Effect on JS Files

Hi All,

More of a learning question but we had a very odd experience today. Our websites, with DNS service through Cloudflare began throwing “JSON Parse Failure” errors, when we looked deeper the webpage was not loading all JS files and only loading them partially where it could. Through some fiddling we realized turning off the Cloudflare proxy fixed the issue.

So my question is what effect does proxy have on the loading of these files? Is there some security that if server IP does not match (due to proxy) it will begin blocking the loading of JS files?
