Proxy status

The message that shows in Cloudflare records “Make sure all A, AAAA, and CNAME records pointing to proxied records are also proxied to avoid exposing your origin IP.”. How can I sort out this? Records such as A, AAAA, and CNAME are showing the error “This record exposes your origin IP. To fix this, change its proxy status.”. Kindly help me with the above issue.

That usually happens if your email is hosted on the same server as your website. It doesn’t break anything, but it does advertise IP addresses you may want hidden. There’s no easy workaround for this.

So to resolve, I just need to recreate all of the records with “Proxied” as the status, correct? Is there any potential problems that could occur that I need to be aware of, other than the downtime between deleting and re-creating?

You don’t need to recreate. Simply click the :grey: to turn it into :orange:.

Obviously services need to be on one of the ports supported by Cloudflare and be HTTP/HTTPS ones. Others aren’t supported.
