Proxmox server on Cloudflare issue

**My Proxmox server was up on my Cloudflare domain and working fine then all of a sudden when trying to connect I get the Error 1033, Cloudflare Tunnel error. I assumed perhaps since I haven’t used my Proxmox server in quite some time that perhaps it was something to do with it. I went into my Proxmox IP config using nano /etc/network/interfaces and tried changing the IP and now my domain is down on Cloudflare completely. Ugh. I suppose I can just start over with my Proxmox server considering I didn’t have a lot of important data but my question is how do I change the IP address to my Cloudflare domain so it works with a new Proxmox server? **

Can anyone give me some advice regarding this or perhaps someone has had the same issue using Proxmox with Cloudflare and can offer advice on how to fix my existing Proxmox server and Cloudflare domain…???

Hello @kitamine.secure

If you’re using a Zero Trust Tunnel with Proxmox, could you show me what you’ve got for the Public Hostname entry?

I run mine through NGINX Proxy Manager …
Internet > CF Tunnel > NPM > Promox
On the Public Hostname I have the HTTP://10.x.y.z IP of NPM, and it handles the rest.

If you’re going straight to Proxmox, make sure you are using https:// and the Proxmox port! Additionally, make sure you disable TLS Verify in the Public Hostname TLS settings.

Finally, in Proxmox, if you change the IP Address in /etc/network/interfaces, you also have to change it in /etc/hosts.

Stop by discord.gg/homelab too!

Please bare with me as I’m not very good with network utilities or server and cloud interfaces and utilities…you may have to kinda guide me. My site/domain was foxyproxy.win and I used the IP allocated by Proxmox on port 8006. I did change the IP hoping to fix it, it didn’t so I set it back to the original one. Still nothing :pensive:.

If you need any additional info just guide me to where to find it and I’ll gladly drop it here if I can get my Proxmox back online. Thank you in advance :pray:t3:.

Please let me know if I can provide anymore info and hoping to find some help to resolve my issue.

“Additionally, make sure you disable TLS Verify in the Public Hostname TLS settings.”, this helps me out.

Try this:
Additional application settings > TLS > No TLS Verify > Enabled
