Problems with WWW and no WWW

Hello! What DNS record or rule should I add to my account so that when someone visits mysite(dot)com (without the WWW), that it re-routes to the main page of www.mysite.com.

Right now, if you type in “mysite.com”, it simply says the site does not exist. I’d love to be able to re-route traffic if they forget the WWW so that I’m covered either way.

I already have this rule: mysite.com/*
Forwarding URL (Status Code: 301 - Permanent Redirect, Url: https://www.mysite.com/$1)

is it a rule or a record that I need to add?

I’m sure that I am missing something minor.

Thanks so much!

Hi @greenbitesproject,

I suspect you are missing the :orange: DNS record required for the page rule to work, as the rule itself sounds fine. This tutorial covers your case, you basically need to add any :orange: record for the root domain, we generally suggest an A record pointing to 192.0.2.1.
