Problem Installing SSL

Hello,

We are moving our sites from a Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2019 machine. Currently the website is configured and running properly using Cloudflare’s SSL (www.fleetcooling.com for reference).

We got all the assets moved to the new machine. I exported the SSL cert from the old server and imported it to the new one. I also installed the Cloudflare_CA.crt into the intermediate CA folder using the certificate MMS plugin.

When I go to assign the cert in IIS, I get the following error:

One or more intermediate certificates in the certificate chain are missing. To resolve this issue, make sure that all of the intermediate certificates are installed. For more information, see Configure intermediate certificates in Internet Information Services (IIS) - Internet Information Services | Microsoft Learn.

I’m not sure what else I need to do. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Kevin

I have no clue whatsoever of Windows Server, but I can tell you that the Cloudflare Origin Certificate doesn’t have any intermediaries. There’s only the root and the leaf.

Thanks for the reply. I meant to say in the OP that I originally installed the CA cert into the root. The error message indicated something about the intermediate info missing so I thought it also needed to be in there.

I figured out the problem. I was using the ECC pem file. I imported the RSA file and that did the trick.
