Pro Plan with Polish - hidden bandwidth costs?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’m considering upgrading to Cloudflare’s Pro plan ($20/month annual) to use Polish for image optimization.

I won’t be using Argo or egress, just the regular CDN and image optimization.

Is bandwidth truly unlimited like on the free plan, or are there any hidden costs or limitations I should be aware of? Thanks!

I am not aware of any.

Even Free plan bandwitdh can have TBs of monthly bandwidth.
I do have a zone which genereates such.
On the other way, I have Free plan zone with daily 1-2TB bandwitdh as it’s constantly being under the DDoS which seems to not stopping for past 2 weeks - despite DDoS is blocked, it functions pretty fine, no issue.

For paid plans, if you hit some limits you’d get an email message from Cloudflare stating you’d have to consider going for an higher paid plan, if this happens.

No limits. Just keep in mind and make sure you’re abiding by the Terms of Service and using it to host websites, therefrom not serveing videos/large files disproportionately, which would result in ToS violation, otherwise you’re good to go.

Pro plan in general is the best. Advanced WAF, Managed Rules, Polish and Mirage including other speed optimizations as well as APO for WordPress (if using it).
Just make sure to configure it accordingly to your website, I use Lossy and WebP generation to serve new image formats to my Website visitors.
Amazing, how Cloudflare features can be leveraged, therefrom no need for the origin server converting and CPU load.

Thanks so much for your detailed response! I really appreciate it.

I’m planning to use Cloudflare for my WordPress membership website—no videos, just the usual files like CSS, JS, HTML, and images. As my site grows, more images will be uploaded (with a size limit of less than XMB).

My main goals are to improve security, boost speed, and use the Polish feature for image optimization.

I won’t be using Argo routing or other extra features.

However, Cloudflare’s pricing structure isn’t very clear.
After discussing with ChatGPT and other AI tools, I learned that the Pro plan might include up to 1TB of bandwidth for free, but I couldn’t find any official documentation to confirm this—only the monthly subscription cost. That’s why I wanted to double-check if there are any hidden costs or bandwidth-related charges I should be aware of.

Honestly, I’ve become a bit cautious with companies since even ChatGPT’s pro plan has more limits compared to the free one, so I just want to be sure I fully understand what I’m signing up for.

Thanks again for your help!
