PowerShell cloudflared update doesn't report version

Running the PowerShell command: cloudflared update, the version is not listed when the installed version is current.

Does cloudflared version show you the current installed and running version? :thinking:

Might be you’d have to stop the service, then run update, otherwise, re-install the tunnel using new token to get newer version.

I think this happened to me few times, despite it was updated.

Stopping the service makes no difference for the update attempt. Actually, If I recall correctly, when I first ran the command (having the older version installed), the update stopped the service, did the update, and I manually had to restart the service.

I would expect the current version to be displayed similar to what is seen when having performed an update:
2025-01-14T14:02:05Z INF cloudflared has been updated version=2025.1.0
