Post onboarding websites to cloudflare users facing certificate error

on-boarded(added CNAME’s to Cloudflare and started proxying) two websites in cloudflare for a domain.
Users are facing issue in connecting to the websites from their respective interfaces.

Logs in the their interface found this error:

PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Any help greatly appreciated.

That’s completely foreign to me.

It sounds like your CNAMEs are set to :orange: and they don’t work. Do they work when they are set to :grey:? And are you using HTTPS in both cases?

Thanks for your response.

Yes the websites are working normal for many users but there are a couple of users trying to reach these websites from an interface and they are getting this certificate error.

PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Note* Websites are working as normal and have no issues.

So it sounds like their interface is acting somewhat like a browser, but they don’t like the SSL/TLS certificates? Is this consistent for all users of that specific interface?

It might help to run the hostname through an SSL test for potential warnings:
