Possible interaction with Microsoft Outlook?

One of my staff has indicated that a large quantity of Outlook email has inexplicable disappeared. The user is “almost” certain that they did not delete / would not have deleted such a large quantity of email. Is there anything in the DNS / hosting that could possibly be involved in such an occurrence in any way?

Like the emails have been deleted or never arrive / are received? Once the email has reached its destination, DNS has done its job.

If you are using Office 365 then I would check the email audit logs, if you have it enabled, to see if the emails have been deleted or moved.

Thanks for your reply. You raise a good point insofar as DNS is not applicable post-transaction. The user states that the emails were sent and/or received, then appear to have been deleted from the respective inbox or folder(s). Will check audit logs and possible deletion / move.
