Polish ( webp lossy ), how it works ? how to check if the image are resized to webp

What is the name of the domain?

What is the error number?

do nothing

What is the error message?

do nothing

What is the issue you’re encountering

despite I turned on the polish option, I still don’t understand how to use it.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Reading the forum…
I activated the polish for webp, and we have the logo of the company as a png on top of every of our page. so it’s a good test to see if it works.
Our web site is in wordpress, I read the url finally doesn’t change ( still a png extension )
I assume I have emptied the cache when I have turned on the feature when I upgraded to pro , mainly for that feature and save time to not configure a wordpress plugin, and so at the end, I spend more time than I expected to understand what I m supposed to setup ?

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

https://www.obviousidea.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/obid-header-100.png for example but I don’t understand how to check if it works or not ? F12 chrome ?

Hey there,

You can check if Polish is active by opening the network tab in your browser developer tools and seeing if the response has the cf-polished header. Taking a look at the link you shared with us, I see that the header is present but has the following value: cf-polished: status=vary_header_present meaning that Polish was not able to run due to the Vary header having an additional value other than accept-encoding.
