Point DNS hosting server to new domain

How can I point DNS of my hosting server to the new domain bought from Cloudflare?

Hello there,

Simply update the NS records. That should work only if you want to connect

You cannot update nameservers on domains purchased through Cloudflare. Using Cloudflare DNS is mandatory per section 6.1 of the Domain Registration Agreement.

This #tutorial covers getting started with adding DNS records.

How can I point hosting server DNS to the domain I bought from Cloudflare?

Hello,

You can create an A record for the IPv4 address of your server, an a AAAA record for the IPv6 one. Some services may require to add a CNAME record instead, and they’ll specify the destination address. Contact your hosting provider if you need some of that information.

If what you want is to change your domain’s nameservers, you can’t, as specified in point 7.2 of the registrar ToS:

7.2 nameservers

Registrant agrees to use Cloudflare’s nameservers. REGISTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT IT MAY NOT CHANGE THE NAMESERVERS ON THE REGISTRAR SERVICES, AND THAT IT MUST TRANSFER TO A THIRD PARTY REGISTRAR IF IT WISHES TO CHANGE NAMESERVERS.

Hope it helps!
