Pingdom DOWN alert

I use pingdom to monitor my website. Last month I had 100% up time.

In the past 36 hours I have gotten 31 alerts that my server is down. Then, ten minutes later I get a message the server is up.

My host can not see ANY issues with the server and suggested I check here is controlling the DNS and cashing.

Any Ideas?

Does the Pingdom report give you any error codes? You could check your Analytics page here and scroll down to the DNS section to look for any NXDOMAIN blips.

Hi sdayman, thanks for the reply.

No, pingdom alerts are very simple. They simply say:
(website) is down since 06/05/2018 11:28:23 PM.
(website)is UP again at 06/05/2018 11:38:23 PM, after 10m of downtime.

The Analytics here doesn’t show anything unusual. No threats.

I’ve just cleared the Cloudflare cache. We’ll see what happens.

I checked my Pingdom account and went to my Reports -> Uptime section.

Then clicked on my Test Result Log.

That gave me the option to Download a CSV with the result codes. All mine say OK, so I don’t know what would show up there for an error. What does yours say?

Clearing the cache here on Cloudflare and on my server stopped all the pingdom down alerts. I haven’t had any since then.

Sdayman, the pingdom logs you pointed out showed 502 errors mixed in with “ok” reports during that period. Thanks for your help.

We’ve been seeing the following error using Pingdom on a site with Cloudflare:

CRITICAL - Cannot make SSL connection
    1728:error:1407742E:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert protocol version:s23_clnt.c:602:
    GET /ccc-ping-target.php HTTP/1.0
    User-Agent: Pingdom.com_bot_version_1.4_(
