My question is, does the couldflare actually slows ping to the website? I do hi frequency trading on the platform which uses Cloudflare. I compared hundreds of “looking glass”services around the world and the shortest ping of 0.2ms I found is the vps in the same building with collocation of one of Cloudflare datacenter. But somebody keep placing orders faster than me. Faster than 0.2ms! Maybe this is because the person knows the real ip and Cloudflare as a middleman just slows things down? I mean, if I will find real ip and collocate with it, will the ping be faster without Cloudflare?
