Pending nameserver update for domain name (non-CF registrar, NS apparently not set)

What is the name of the domain?

merchstudio.com.bn

What is the issue you’re encountering

NS records not pointing to Cloudflare authoritative nameservers

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

The domain name has been successfully registered at my local registrar

Two days ago upon being asked, I sent them my required configurations as stated in the overview section of Cloudflare (CF) dashboard of my domain name, namely:

  • to ensure DNSSEC is turned off
  • have the CF nameservers assigned for my domain name be added as NS records at my registrar

I was asked if my domain is okay today so I checked to see that

  • on CF dashboard, the nameserver update is still pending.
  • on a dnssec debugger, there is indeed no DS records found the domain name
  • however I also notice that it is two non-CF nameservers that seem to be queried though the queries are refused/timed-out

I wonder if these outcomes are expected for the time being, whether it is sufficient to just wait for changes to the NS records are propagated, or there is more that needs to be done to resolve the issue?

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

Thanks @sjr! I have brought it up to my registrar. The nameservers have now been set to the two Cloudflare nameservers about 1.5 hours ago.

This change shows on the WHOIS lookup. However DNS check indicates that rootservers still point to the old nameservers instead of the ones assigned on Cloudflare.

How would you suggest I go about this issue?

Final Update

The issue on nameservers is resolved. It was only a matter of waiting for the changes made to propagate. Now, the two Cloudflare nameservers are also set in the rootservers.
