Pending Nameserver Update after more than 48 hours

What is the name of the domain?

house-of-burgesses.com

What is the issue you’re encountering

I have updated my name servers in Squarespace (where I bought my domain) and ICANN correctly shows both Cloudflare name servers , however, Cloudflare still shows my domain as “Pending Nameserver Update” and it has been more than 48 hours. Are there any steps I’m missing here? DNSSEC is off in both Squarespace and Cloudflare, and no other name servers are listed in Squarespace.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Double checked configuration in Squarespace and Cloudflare

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

You should contact you domain registrar and ask them to remove the icann holds on your domain and see if there is any other reason they can see that would prevent propagation

Hi there! I reached out to Squarespace Support, where I purchased the domain, and they confirmed nothing should be preventing propagation on their side. I can see on whatismydns that the updates have propagated to 4 locations, but nothing globally. Their response is below:

Typically once custom nameservers are added to a domain, the nameserver provider is responsible for propagation and handling of the domain’s DNS records.

I would recommend getting in touch with Cloudflare to ensure there’s no block or restrictions on their end that could be preventing the nameservers from propagating as they’ll have more insight on their end.

Thank you, did you ask them to remove the ICANN holds on the domain? That is something only the domain registrar can do.

Can you check that you have spelled your domain correctly when adding it to Cloudflare and also selected a plan?

I currently don’t see your domain on any Cloudflare nameservers, which usually means that you got either of these 2 wrong.

Oh my gosh, you’re absolutely right. I misspelled my domain and feel like a fool. Thank you so much!
