Site is showing SSL Certificate / timed out error after pausing CF to troubleshoot Digital Ocean server issues. DO servers not operating properly, also causing Cpanel/WHM to be inaccessible. No access to install new CA cert. Any way to clear this error without installing new cert?
This would suggest your server is not properly configured. You’d need to contact your host for that.
Ha, yes, I’ve been going back and forth with the DO and CP teams for 3 days. No resolution.
No access to CP/WHM because of server & CF SSL issues, DO can’t figure out the issues with their servers.
All caused by them overselling CPU and kicking my sites offline. My sites were not at CPU limit when this occurred, obvi just load from overselling too much and my sites were just victims. : (
It’s probably a good idea to switch host in that case. I am afraid, as long as your server is not properly configured, it cannot work on Cloudflare either.
No one can migrate the site because they can’t get access to CP/WHM/server and the backups on Digital Ocean can’t be downloaded. Literally trapped. I will make sure I don’t use CF in the future. They don’t offer meaningful support to anyone not spending a small fortune, and the SSL cert issue is def. caused by them.
Sorry, but you got this wrong. Cloudflare is not involved at all here and even the SSL issue is on your host. You wrote it yourself, your site does not load when Cloudflare is paused.
As I said, your site needs to work without Cloudflare, then it will also work on Cloudflare. The issue here is not related at all to Cloudflare and you need to talk to your host. Once your site works, it will - as mentioned - also work on Cloudflare.
Not wrong, really. Cloudflare’s “pause” kicks out the SSL certificate.
Sorry, but that is wrong as well. Cloudflare does not kick anything out but simply resolves to your own server and if there is no SSL, that’s a server issue.
I can only refer to Paused CF due to server issues on Digital Ocean, site blocked by SSL/timed out error - #8 by sandro
Does your domain start with an R and does your server address end in .168? If so, that’s entirely a server issue and you need to
This is going nowhere, which was my point about CF support. As I said, host & Cpanel working for 3 days now, no one can fix it. My question was: is there any way to address the SSL issue w/out that access. I obvi would have done so with DO if that was possible. Looking for other workarounds.
No, the SSL issue needs to be resolved at your host. As does your entire site issue. As I wrote more than once, Cloudflare is not involved here and once your site loads it will also work on Cloudflare. Cloudflare cannot fix your host’s issues, you need to contact your host.
