Hi there, I would like to know if it is possible to implement a Partial DNS setup between two Cloudflare zones, with the primary zone being on the free plan and the delegated partial zone on a business plan. I have used the partial DNS setup before, but in this case, it is between two Cloudflare zones and I would like to know if this is allowed. Many thanks
To do this as described would require subdomain signup which is current an Enterprise only feature. You might be able to do this with custom hostnames with SSL for SaaS on a different domain name depending on the specific use case and requirements.
Thank you for your reply. I think I was not clear on what I am trying to do. Essentially, I want to implement the partial DNS setup as described here: https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/zone-setups/partial-setup/setup/. I have many implementations of this using the Business plan, but typically the main DNS is not on Cloudflare while the delegated is. Now I have a customer who is using Cloudflare DNS, and I am unsure if Cloudflare allows the delegation of hostnames from one Cloudflare account to another Cloudflare account. It might be that it works just fine. I wanted to double-check if anyone has done this before.
To do this would require subdomain signup which is only available for an enterprise zone.
