Pages are serving from cached even after updating and adding content

We have startd using APO since couple of days. And we have observed that home page are dynamically updated but other pages are not updated after adding or updating the post.

Issue was not observed before plugin. We thought something is wrong with wp rocket plugin, so we also delete that…but now we suspect that after APO install we are not able to see the latest content.

Note :- In browser if we use shortcut “Ctrl+Shift+F5” then we can see the content which is very surprise.

In Cloudflare we have defualt setting in speed section is as follows :

  • Broswer cache TTL - respecting header and we have also tried 4 hous
  • Cache level - standard

Kindly suggsest us to fix this issue.

Home page are updated frequently. Before before using APO everything was functional only speed improved after APO but functionality disturbed.

I had a similar but slightly different issue when updating content and using APO. After updating one page, I did a manual custom purge of the page from cloudflare.com, not the Cloudflare plugin. Also, deleted browser cache and nginx cache on the server. But the updated page just wouldn’t show. Then I turned APO off and presto, the updated page displayed. Turned APO back on and got the old cached page. Support didn’t really have an answer that made any sense - shorten browser ttl, bypasss cache for the page. So I just left APO turned off for several hrs. Then when I turned it back on, the update was displaying. I could only conclude that APO was forcing the 4 hr ttl, despite the fact that the cache was purged.

That is true…Really surprising with the plugin behaviousr.

Plugin is serving cache for HTML, but for home page it is serving dynamic content but in other pages it is serving from cache…

After changing multiple option from browser cache…(If we do the hard refresh as mentioned earlier, Ctrl+Shft+5 then dynamci content start appearing.

Team kindly help to fix this as early as possible. because plugin is really helpful to load site faster but not providing latest content that is caveat.

Dear Cloudflare Team, Kindly get back to us. Since we are facing issue where pages are no update after updating and adding post.

Appreciate your response.

Kindly revert with solution…still we are facing issue…Is ther any channel to communicate to Cloudflare team.

Team Kindly revert.

If that is the case the content is cached locally on the users machine. So sounds like everything is working just fine.

Browser cache… 4 hours. Is this test being performed on the client after 4 hours? Cloudflare can’t force a client browser to reload that would defeat the purpose of a browser cache.

Thank you for the response.

As we explained, Home page is working perfectly fine. But other pages are always serving from cache or old data. (Even after adding new content or editing existing content)

We have tried all the possible combination.
For an example :- Thought For Today » Brahma Kumaris | Official
On this page we can see the latest content of 27th April, You can also checked in diffrent browser such as chrome, edge,
But Now if you try shortcut Ctrl+F5 then it will load the latest content till today.

Let us know what should we do ?
Below are the settings.

It is same with all the computer and not just with 1 computer…

I’d suggest you to try with:

  1. Set Browser Cache TTL to “Respect Existing Headers”.
  2. Clear (Purge) Cloudflare cache at Cloudflare dashboard.
  3. Clear your web browser cache.
  4. Check APO settings for “homepage” and clear there too.

Thank you for the response…We did tried this in the past.
After your suggestion we will check again and get back to you in a day or two.

Thank you so much.

Still it the behaviour is the same… Not able to see the dynamic update on pages…
