We have page rules to protect our WP Login
Page Rule:
*wp-login*
301 redirect > http://192.168.1.1
Rate Limiting
*wp-login*
what comes first?
how come rate limiting is even triggered if we redirect visitors to their own router?
how come that traffic gets rate limited which costs us money rather than being redirected away from us?
Can you post a proper screenshot of your page rules?
Well, these are just redirects, however any prior to the redirect certainly still hits Cloudflare’s edge and hence rate limiting applies as well.

CF support just replied:
The Page Rules are evaluated before the Rate Limiting rules.
so we should not get the traffic in first place?
They seem to be, however I could easily imagine the workflow still reaches rate limiting. However if you are already in contact with support, it will be best to clarify this with them.
