Page Rule redirection to a OneDrive document broken

What is the name of the domain?

reznikov.org

What is the error message?

Sorry, something went wrong. Sorry, you cannot access this document. Please contact the person who shared it with you.

What is the issue you’re encountering

I am trying to use a page rule to redirect a subdomain to a URL for a publicly shared OneDrive file. The URL gets broken resulting in a “no access” error from Onedrive.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Share a document in OneDrive as All with a link, View.
  2. Copy the short link.
  3. Paste it in a browser and copy the resultant long link.
  4. Create a Page Rule with Permanent 401 and always HTTPS (make sure the subdomain you want to forward has an A or CNAME record)
  5. Go to the subdomain URL.
  6. You will observe that the resultant URL is different from the long URL you used in the rule, and it gives you acess denied error.

Sorry, the actual subdomain is:
dmitry.reznikov.org

I cannot recreate that error, works for me. Perhaps clear browser cache and/or try incognito mode?
