Page Rule, Forwarding URL: Appropriate DNS Settings?

I’m quite new to Cloudflare and I’m sorry for my noobish question…

I own 2 domains with almost the same name: domainname.org and domain-name.org, both are registered to Cloudflare DNS

domainname. org has all the appropriate DNS-records set and visitors of the site are correctly directed to the website’s server.

Now I’d like to set up domain-name. org to redirect users directly to domainname. org. I registered domain-name. org in my Cloudflare dashboard and i went to Page Rules and set up a Forwarding URL to push everyone looking for domain-name. org/ to domainname. org.

But until now it doesn’t work. I suppose, this must have something to do with the fact, that my DNS-records for domain-name. org are empty.

Could someone explain to me, what the appropriate DNS settings would be in my case? I don’t need no E-Mail with domain-name. org, I just want people who search for our site and enter the name with a “-” (hyphen) to reach our homepage.

I’d be grateful for any help!

Andy

Perfect, thank you! The redirection is up and running

By the way: The CloudFlare DNS-console tells me:

Add an MX record for your root domain so that mail can reach @domain-name.org addresses.

Since I don’t really want to use the “hyphen-domain”, expect for the URL redirection, what settings would apply for the MX-record? Is it OK to just use a dummy record like @ 192.0.2.1 10 or is there a more appropriate way to do it?

I add a null MX record when I don’t want that domain (or subdomain) to accept mail:
