Packet Loss In Cloudflare KEF(Iceland)

Cloudflare KEF has been almost unusable for weeks due to packet loss.

Seems to have started at the end of 2023:

I’ve also noticed this since December, a streaming platform using Cloudflare is practically unusable due to this issue.

I’m still measuring packet loss from various internet providers in Iceland to KEF, it varies from around 2.5% to 8%. Looking at the RIX graphs there seems to be an artificial cap of 5gbps on the 10gbps uplink. RIX also provides up to 100gbps now so it might be time for a port upgrade.

Looks like this is added on the cloudflare status page as resolved, if you scroll down to Jan 17

I’m still experiencing the same issues

The issue seems to resolved for only some IPS´s in Iceland. Customers at Vodafone Iceland(one of Iceland biggest ISP) are still experiencing issues. For example I cant connect to Reykjavik at all and am always redirected to Dublin or the Netherlands. Vodafone Iceland says that this is out of their hands.
