Outgoing email error

Just setup my cloudflare.

Unfortunately, outgoing emails aren’t working. I contacted my server and they said I need to update the MX field.
My outgoing server is mail. learnmuscles. com and that’s what is noted on Cloudflare but my server says it’s pushing to _dc-mx.005447a6aed5. learnmuscles. com

How can this be fixed?

Make sure that your mail hostname is set to :grey: DNS Only.

Thx for the quick reply. Unfortunately, this is all new to me and I’m not sure what to do even after reading your link.
I don’t understand this:

  • If mail is received for the domain, update the MX record to resolve to a separate A record for a mail subdomain that is not proxied by Cloudflare:
    example.com MX mail.example.com mail.example.com A example.com A

Turn off the proxy as directed.

Which line do I turn off proxy?

Where is mail hostname?

Please explain to me step by step like a 3 year old. :slight_smile: I really need my emails to work.


1- Changed the MX record server to mail.example. com instead of the default example. com
2- change the CNAME mail to A and replaced example. com with IP address and removed proxy.
