Origin certificate (Error 1010)

Hi everyone, I’m using Cloudflare free and It doesn’t look like they want us to contact support based on how hard support is to find…

I’m getting an error when trying to create an origin certificate to send to my current host

“Failed to validate requested hostname versysmedia.com: This zone is either not part of your account, or you do not have access to it. Please contact support if using a multi-user organization. (Code: 1010)”

The domin has been added along with all the relevant DNS records

I’ve disabled the “Browser Integrity Check” as well…

Has anyone had this issue before?

Hi @websites2,

If you are on the free plan, I guess you’re not on a multi-user account. Do you have Cloudflare configured through a partner or did you sign it up yourself? Can you check that on the DNS tab, the nameservers listed under the DNS records are sofia and kianchau?

Thanks for the reply! Figured out that the Name Servers hadn’t been updated yet… Hope this helps someone

Hi @websites2 that’s interesting - did you have the domain versysmedia.com listed in your Cloudflare dashboard? At the time you saw this message?

Failed to validate requested hostname versysmedia.com: This zone is either not part of your account, or you do not have access to it. Please contact support if using a multi-user organization. (Code: 1010)

If the domain was in your account and the NS were not set at the registrar, then we would classify this domain as being in “Pending” state. This means that some configurations cannot be activated or used which may explain why you couldn’t provision an origin certificate.

If you can confirm I’ll file a request internally to improve the wording so it is clearer why you see that message.
