Only activate cloudflare on a subdomain (wordpress) (not shopify root domain)

Hello,

My root domain is registered on gandi.net and is linked to a shopify store.

On a subdomain, i have wordpress installed on my hosting (hostgator)

I want to activate Cloudflare on my subdomain only.

Do i need to complete my nameserver setup by changing my actual nameservers by Cloudflare nameservers ? I’m afraid it will affect my root domain.

How can i do the setup only for the subdomain please?

You will have to use Cloudflare DNS for your entire domain, but can activate Cloudflare features for just that subdomain.

Just make sure all your DNS entries here match your current DNS entries. Then only the subdomain will be set to while everything else is set to .
