On cf pages all non existing urls show home page content instead 404

For Workers & Pages, what is the name of the domain?

What is the issue or error you’re encountering

When I digit a non-existing url of my domain I get homepage page instead of a 404 error

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Create a 404.html page and Pages will return that with a proper 404 error. Without that page it uses SPA behavior.
