I moved my old website from a marketing firm who was charging a bunch to manage it with Clickfunnels. They recommended I use cloudflare website to host.
The old website is still showing the old website and Clickfunnels can’t figure out why. Their support said it must be something with cloudflare.
Clickfunnels is usually pretty good about fully removing a defunct site from Cloudflare. You may have to ask them again to completely disable their SaaS settings for your domain. Sometimes it involves re-adding it, then deleting it.
If that is a dead end, please email [email protected] with the subject Cannot remove custom host name and details of the issue. Once you’ve done that you’ll receive an automatic response with a ticket number. Please post that here so we can escalate it. Once you have reached out to Support they will ask you to verify domain ownership of the domain by adding a txt record to the domain in order to verify domain ownership.
I am not getting an error. walnutlakeanimalhospital.com is my practice and the website.
I only see the old website rather than the new one.
So Trying to figure out why since all the DNS and page rules are right.
That’s interesting, as I’d not heard that before. I think it’s just one of many IP addresses Cloudflare assigns to domains, and I see there are many sites on that IP address that are not ClickFunnels.
OH! There it is, right there. Your first record. Cloudflare isn’t a website host, so you’d need to get some web hosting where you can upload your files and they should provide you the correct IP address instead of that CNAME.
That second location has the IP address of 172.67.220.161
There should be an A record pointing to 172.67.220.161 that needs to be removed, but if that isn’t showing on your end then you may need to reach back out to Cloudflare Support again and let them know that the www subdomain is pointing to an extra IP that needs to be removed.
This is only something that can be done on the Cloudflare end. You can share with them the links I sent above.
Once the record that is pointing to 172.67.220.161 is removed, then that should correct the issue with the www version of your domain."
Now I’m confused. The old site was on Clickfunnels? Or was it on something else? It’s the old place that needs to remove the configuration for Cloudflare.
The old site was not Clickfunnels.
I originally bought the domain at hostmonster.com and had a wordpress site on it. Then I hired a marketing company who built a website but over time they were too expensive after 3 years. So now I want to have a website with clickfunnels since I already had an account with them.
They added this just now via email
"Also, in regards to what Cloudflare said, they are incorrect unfortunately
You can ONLY connect to ClickFunnels via 2 CNAME records with a Page Rule. We do not have the ability to connect a domain to our platform via an IP address.
Currently you have your CNAME records and Page Rule setup correctly. I have also looked over your funnel, and there is no errors or custom code that would cause it to show the old site. I even removed and added back your domain, along with changing your paths and adding & removing HTML form to fully clear out any cache on the server … but the error still remained."
