Old registrar records were not complete, new site not working

Hi,
I have got myself into trouble with DNS records. I have read documentation but still find I need to ask Q.
I have 3 entities involved which I am trying to reduce to 2, cloudflare, registrar and hosting company. I plan to migrate all domains to cloudflare leaving me just cloudflare and hosting co to manage.
Within Cloudflare I have a domain working, www.yyy.com
At my host I had a page that was not set up as a ‘addon domain’ or subdomian.
My previous registrar was actually pointing my domain name to the sub page URL, www.yyy.com/mysubpage.
Other pages that were set up as addon domains have migrated successfully.

I changed NS to cloudflare, then IPS tag but now the website is not showing a page when you enter the domain name so I think my plan is, (this is where i need help), I need to know how to either one or other:

  1. change NS records back to my host company, then create addon domains, then change NS back to cloudflare
    or
  2. Can I fix this in the DNS. After reading documentation I am still not clear if is possible.

I am learning but this is beyond my knowledge

Thank you very much in advance. I think I might prefer option 1 as the setup of a addon subdomain at host is automatic and then Cloudflare would automatically get the settings but I cannot find how to change my cloudflare NS to my hoster within cloudlfare.

What is the error you are seeing when you change the NS records to Cloudflare?

Hello,
thank you for replying. I was able to get my host to create a domain without my having to do nameserver changes. Then, using records form another domain I was able to recreate the entries in the DNS to make the website show so all is ok now.
