Old IT guy Cloudflare Account Blocking New Account

What is the name of the domain?

savicinanza.com

What is the error number?

Error Access denied

What is the error message?

Cannot access Cloudflare

What is the issue you’re encountering

Old account is blocking updating SSL Certificate

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have opened an account at Cloudflare in my name, updated nameservers at the registrar, and set up the Cloudflare records. The IT freelancer who set up my domains on aaPanel has now gone silent, when I try to update my SSL certificates, I get an error message that says I don’t have access to that account. He set up Cloudflare for my domains on his account. I would now like to use my account to manage Cloudflare, but the old account blocks the new settings.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

try to update SSL certificate in aaPanel - (Hostinger VPS, Ubuntu aaPanel access)

In that case, the old account no longer has anything to do with the domain.

Where do you get that message? Can you show a screenshot?

Hi, sure, I get the error message when I try to renew my SSL Certificate in the SSL Dialog in aaPanel. I get the command line dialogue that the verification is taking place. Then an error message pops up. It only lasts a second, I can’t even read the whole thing, it just says Cloudflare Error, and then the command line dialogue says verification failed, and then that disappears also. Sorry for the lack of information I can’t even get a screenshot.

Can you upload your own certificate in the panel?

Hi Laudian, no, I get the same error message. Thanks for the help, I used an IT freelancer to set up the domains, and he used his cloudflare account and now its all kinds of messed up for the SSL certificates.

Can you try to change the DNS record for your site to DNS-Only, then renew the certificate?

I think so - I would need to know the steps to finding that option my registrar is wordpress - my host is hostinger - where might I find that when managing DNS

You do that on Cloudflare: https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns/records (select your domain)

Okay thanks
